This is my card for Teapot Tuesday & will be going out to Bobby, a young man severely burned in a fire. Bobby loves all sports & has coached young people all his life so our mission was to bring sports related cards. The sentiment inside says: Hope you're up to par again soon.
I don't often use this stamp as it has a "soft spot" in the middle which doesn't transfer the ink properly from stamp to paper. I ended up placing the stamp ink side up, covering it with card stock & then using a brayer on the back side of the card. Several attempts later & voila. If anyone has another suggestion as to how to make this work better, I'd love to hear it.

What a fabulous image.....
when I have stamps that give me trouble...I do pretty much what you did other than I don't use a brayer....I used my fingers to press all over the image.......just being careful to not move the paper

Love this cool golf scene and that golf bag is wonderful and does look real. I have 5 or 6 stamps that behave badly just like you described - it is frustrating. The other day, I was at a crop and we were using an old stamp and it did the same thing. The crop leader stamped the image and then she carefully kept the paper to the image and turned it over. She then rubbed her fingers in the middle of the paper over the image. Her image came out perfect. I have no patience so I had already stamped mine and drew the missing lines in (then I had to cover my awfully drawing with Stickles and no one noticed the horrible job I did).
I think I will try some of the ideas shared here - thanks for starting this chat so we could all learn something!

WONDERFUL card!! I would never have known it is one of those fussy stamps if you hadn't of told us. Love the scene and the golf clubs - fantastic coloring. The golf balls for your corners are a great touch.
