This is a glass block from pittsburgh glass....got it at lowes. FIL drilled hole in back and I inserted 35 light strand. Images were stamped on sticker paper and colored and cut out. Images were placed on block and glitter snow was applied to block with a small stipple like brush. When snow was still wet. Dazzling diamonds glitter was sprinkled over the whole thing using the brush from the powder pals.

No, I haven't tried etching the glass. I am sure it would look pretty! But, I wanted to 'hide' the light strand as much as I could...yet still be able to see the light...kwim? I would love to try etching one of these days!
