This card is for todays Inspiration Challenge IC268 from www.BarbieCollector.com
It was so much fun to peruse all of the Barbie beauties and relive the dreams of my childhood and be in awe of all of her glamour to find an inspiration for todays challenge.
I chose this Barbie Happy Chick couch as my inspiration. http://www.barbiecollector.com/node/2549
This couch looks like something a teenager would have in their room, so I made this Valentine card with my 13 old neice in mind. She's not a big pink fan, so I went with red for my card base.
I love the modern boxy look with the crisp white piping. I tried to recreate that by distressing the edges of the pink heart cardstock allowing some white edge to show. The text on the black pillow is mimicked with my background paper. My white centerpiece with the 2 balloons resembles the white pillow with the pair of shoes.
TFL!
