This was created using the sketch from Our Daily Bread Designs ODBDSLC45 for the Shining the Light Challenge. I love this scripture from ODBD's “For the Graduate”, and it is my prayer for this precious baby, our first grandchild, Jonathan. In this photo, Jon is not yet even one day old.
The scripture was done over DP using Creamy Caramel ink, and the scalloped edges are paper pierced using a tool from Pergamano. The matching card is a modified version of the sketch, and the little footprint is Jon's. The inside sentiment is also from ODBD's “For the Graduate” and reads “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths” Prov. 3:6 You can find this set here: Our Daily Bread Designs
This project was dear to my heart. As I held my grandson for the first time, I spoke the name of Jesus into his ear, and held his precious feet, asking the Father to bless every step he will take. Thanks for looking.

Pat, this goes beyond "masterpiece". It stopped me in my tracks. The beauty, details and "personal feel" of this card is unmatched. I know they love having you design at ODBD and I am SO excited you became a grandmother. Hugs and Love!!!

Now this is a 'work of heart' if I've ever seen one. How precious indeed - every detail shows the love in your heart for this sweet little fella. And what a sweetie he is. Love your description of the first time you held him. Pass the tissues this way... (Moosh.)

Oh Pat,
Aren't babies amazing?! They open up everyone's hearts that even see them. What a wonderful opportunity to share about the love of Jesus. And, how wonderful you have started Jon's education. He has already learned the word he will need most in life..."Jesus!"
