This is for today's color challenge to use Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, and Cherry Cobbler and also for the Teaparty challenge to make a card with flowers and gold for a very special person named Katie going through very hard times.
My card has gold for Hothead Jed, and a flower, which I suggest he gives to his long suffering wife who has put up with his hot head for years, and I also told him to buy her a dishwasher with his new found wealth, solving the problem of her dishpan hands - all in all, I think my advice will put their relationship on a whole new level, and the atmosphere at the tea party will be way more fun!!!
If you'd like to know more about the party, check it out here:
The flower was stamped three times and colored with copics (using not only shades of the colors listed abover but probably every pink copic I own!) - it's popped up in layers and I added gold brads for the center. I gold embossed flourishes and small dots from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. I also embossed part of a leaf from SU's Lovely Leaves, cut them out, dipped the edges in embossing powder, embossed again and popped those up behind the rose. The card opens up from the far right hand side, I seem to be into making them that way these days.

My goodness, your details blow me away. The embossed edges on the leaves are wonderful. I'll file that idea away! And your layered rose is just gorgeous. What a true work of art.

Oh my but this is beautiful! Your bloom is so rich looking and the touch of gold adds such elegance -- but your use of white space really allows it to be the focal! Well done!
