Wonderful challenge because I love to add dimension! I think everything on this card is elevated. I'm also including it in the Dec FC Gallery because I keep singing "Jingle Bells" every time I look at this card, lol.
All images are DRS Designs. After all the Christmas shopping, I think I need to shake up this dough globe and hope some falls out, lol.
Well, I'm not really sure how I arrived at this design, but somewhere along the line the word "shrink plastic" popped into my head. That was probably the most time consuming. Cutting out all those little plastic bills and shrinking them. I stamped them w/ Stazon on the shiny side first and colored the back sides w/ markers. And it is pretty cool to watch them shrink up. Kind of like my wallet lately, except for the cool part.
The globe part was cut with a couple of sizes of circle dies for the red and black frames and 1 large circle of acetate was attached underneath. I also cut 2 circle frames out of card board in order to have some space for the dough and Rudolph. The trees were stamped w/ a green rainbow pad and I used a glue pen and some transparent glitter all over for a little snowy sparkle. The bottom of the globe is another die cut I cut the bottom off and used a wood grain embossing folder on top then sponged a little ink over the raised parts.
Thanks so much for looking! Happy Holidays to you! Close ups are on the DRS blog My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them. But you can still view the post on the DRS Blog linked above.
