Hi! This card was made for todayÂ’s Ways To Use it Challenge: All that Glitters.
Our house is quiet this morning, and I decided to stamp to relieve the BLAZING headache. I’ve had this headache since I was awoken yesterday morning to the news that my mother had died. I swear, stamping is the perfect stress relief. I didn’t have to think about anything but the card. Last night I shared some insight with my Stampin’ B’s buds about how the rituals relating to stamping, (the choosing of paper, embellishments, stamps and ink), the calming effect of coloring, and the satisfaction of creating helps to relieve the pressures of life. My mother used to say that drawing and painting helped her escape. You know what? This morning, was the first time in over 3 ½ years that I didn’t wake up and immediately worry about my mother. Don’t get me wrong, I thought about her, and the fact that she was finally at peace. Darn it! the headache’s back! (Yes, I’m smiling and sighing at the same time!)
The image was stamped Palette Hybrid Ink Jardin Moss. I off-stamped the image twice and then added in Flower Soft and Glitter. The background was airbrushed in with a Copic. (I colored in the charm with the same marker.)
Finished card size: 4 ¼” x 5 ½”
Total time to complete: 19 minutes.

I soooo agree. Making cards is such a stress relief for me too. So sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I have experienced that. No fun. But by the look of your card today, you are feeling relief. Your card is gorgeous and full of love. Well done. TFS :0) Now, if we could only get that headache to go away.

Nice hazy look to the image panel, beautiful card.
I agree that stamping is relaxing except for the matching of papers...that can take so much longer than creating the card!
My thoughts are with you these next few days, peace to you and your family, I know you'll miss her!

Beautiful card Faith. So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing and glad to hear that a little bit of escape time helped ease the stress - even if just for a while. Big hugs. Thanks for sharing your beautiful creations with us.

Faith so sorry to hear of your mom but it has to help knowing she is now at peace and no longer suffering. Art is definitely a stress reliever and I just know she is smiling down at you. Your card is gorgeous...you used my favorite tree. Love the colors you used as well. Take care and know so many of us care about you and your family. Sending love to you, Mark, and Markie. Judi
