This card was actually made BEFORE I knew Heather was today's Featured Stamper - she was also this week's Queen for the Day, which is why I was casing her card!
Congratulations Heather - you deserve the attention this week!! Your gallery is filled with beautiful, colorful, and exquisite designs - so many of which I'd love to CASE (or try to :-)! You are such a talented stamper, and so sweet with all your comments on everyone's cards. Thanks for sharing with all of us!
Changes were minimal - stampset, colors, raffia and brads in place of ribbon and pearls. This card took some forethought (which always frightens me LOL), as do most CAS cards, but in the end it came together just as I'd planned. The card was masked, then sponged, then the images were stamped. In order to make the Gold Finch so yellow I bleached inside the lines. Once that dried I was able to use pencils to bring the image to life with color.
This card is for a former coworker who recently relocated to TX, to take over their family's business. He has been a long-time friend of DH and mine, and is greatly missed not only by us but by so many at my company. He was a VP, so very influential in the company, and always had an encouraging and enlightening word to share. One of his infamous messages was "Enjoy every moment". This card is for him, his wife, and his famiily.
Thanks everyone for taking a peek!
Hope you all enjoy your Sunday!
Audrey
