Well, I started out with a good idea, but sometimes a CAS card falls flat. This is one of those. I wanted to highlight this Cherry color but it turns out it's hard to stamp tone on tone or even a sentiment in black. I'd probably emboss something the next time. I also wanted to make a paper ruffle that I'd seen somewhere. I stamped French word onto Crumb Cake and used my bone folder to break down the fibers after using the eyelet border punch. I 'ruffled' it by running a thread through the top of the paper and pulling it to create the ruffle. I put a strip of sticky tape down and adhered the ruffle to the base. To incorporate the new technique challenge I created a rose with ribbon for the embellishment, while the green ribbon brings in the Artichoke color. There is a flourish behind the sentiment that is difficult to see, but it's there.
So, in the end I decided to post this even though I think it's lacking a little something. It is actually a triple threat card as it fits for the CAS challenge, Technique Lovers Challenge and the Color Challenge. Thanks for looking today!
