Wow- did that make ME feel SPECIAL to have Joan pick my card and ask if she could feature it for the challenge!! What a THRILL!! (some people may say whatever floats your boat, but they aren't stampers, right?) Okay - so I didn't make this card in a half an hour since Joan posted, but I hope you forgive me Joan for taking the liberty to start on it a bit earlier....I was using Elements of Style to create a swap card for Convention so stayed with it, after all, I haven't used it for at least 6 cards.......makes me weak to go a week, so it was time. This embossing on embossing thing I sort of did one night when I was having a class and prayed it would work. I do classes in my home with two ladies who let me make up the cards as we go along.....most of the time I am happy with what I create and once in a while it bites...haha...but one night I got a card all made on vellum and it was white embossed and then I said gee, I wonder what would happen if i tried to dry emboss on top of this and they all gasped, I remember Jenna saying what if you ruin it after all that work(she said she was rooting for me, haha, but she was afraid I would ruin my card after all that hard labor....) and I said, well, if we don't like how it comes out no one else has to do it to theirs, how's that?? It looked like dotted swiss with the polka dot folder and I have been doing it ever since! SO FUN!!! With all different folders. And not always with vellum- sometimes just regular cardstock. With this card I used vellum and embossed elements of style in black then colored from behind and shaded on top...then I put it through my Xyron machine to make the vellum a sticker and then stuck it on white cardstock and then put it thru the Big Shot with the lattice folder.....and I like it!! Hope you do too!! I see it also meets the criteria for the CAS challenge today, dry embossing!! A double header on a Monday!! I never get to play in the Monday challenge cuz they are usually rocket science to me with all the hard techniques so I am full of happy happy joy joy that I could play today!!! It won't even feel like a Monday!! ~~

No surprise to me that your card was singled out as a sample. You do gorgeous work and so glad it is being highlighted!! That wonderful wide striped bow is being quite a signature on your work. I love it.
