Measurements: light green - 2 15/16” x 3 14/16” plus 1/16” and 1/8” borders, sunflower is 3” up and down I cut 3/8” off the one side, embossed panel is 1 ½” with a 1/16” border
-Three layers were cut for the sunflower and sponged before removing them from the die and then sponged in the center after assembled.
Black Flower Soft was applied on the edge of the brown center using AleeneÂ’s tacky glue, this glue was also used to assemble and attach to the card.
-Ink distressing was done on all layers except the base.
-After embossing the small panel I made two de-embossing lines on each side using the Scor-Pal.
-The butterflies are colored with Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps. Oil replaces Gamsol/mineral spirits.
-The butterflies are also paper sculpted using a metal ball stylus and a folded paper towel for cushion. I scored around the circles and the body line on the front of the image, flipped it over and did circle motions for the circles and straight line for the body. ItÂ’s glued to the card with tacky glue.
-I cut the antennae out without losing one this time but if ever IÂ’m not successful I just stamp the antennae portion of the image and line up the body when gluing to the card. I do go around the body edge with marker and fill in the antennae so no white cardstock is showing.
Close up photo of the butterfly and flower can be seen on my blog here.

Wowzer! Those butterflies are just gorgeous. Of course, your whole card is beautiful as usual. I like that embossed panel, too with the lovely color and embossing.
