These are the three cards that I made on Wednesday night for the CAS DT challenge. Only one will be considered for the finals and I have to decide by tomorrow which one to leave the keyword on. My family's vote so far is this one.
When Jen gave us the theme of water, my thoughts went like this: "yeah, right. What about those gel cards...no don't want to make one of those. What about some punny fish...or lighthouses...or umbrellas...or a vase of flowers (after all, they're in water...lol!)." Then, I thought, "well, you could do anything in watercolor, after all it is water-based!" You can see that I got a little bit wierd!
Well, this is the first card that came to mind. I knew I wanted the embossing folder and the fish. Took a bit to come up with the ribbon, and even longer to decide about the "ground" at the bottom. But I love this card, and so does my DDIL.
The interesting thing I discovered in making this card is that I don't need to buy copics!!!! I know that I can be just as effective if I use watercolor.

My vote is this one! It's totally cute. I love this! I acquired this set from DD and have never used it. Now I have inspiration! Love the ribbon reeds too.

GO, go, Diane!!! I LOVE this card. Super detail but still wonderfully CAS. I've decided that I can stick with watercoloring, too, and avoid the expense of Copics!!! Your watercolored fishies look superb. Great texture in the background and awesome ribbon seaweed. GOOD LUCK!!
