Passage of time--CHECK: my sentiment reads "May the simple joys of life fill this special day and be yours THROUGHOUT THE COMING YEAR." I figure that indicates a passage of time reasonably well.
LLPC045 sketch--CHECK: for once I didn't make a literal translation of the sketch. Wow! I can't believe I actually made the leap . . .
Alphabet--CHECK: I used these chipboard alphabet stickers I found on clearance in the Target Dollar Spot after Valentine's Day. I'm thrilled to be using them! Had to expand the card size to 5" x 7" to accommodate these large-ish letters.
Sun--CHECK: this is an old TAC (The Angel Company) sun image.
Encouraging sentiment--CHECK: well, I hope you'll agree that this is a "check" on the list. I stretched it a bit. I figure this card is *encouraging* its recipient to "enjoy" his or her special day
I've seen a lot of great brayer work in the galleries in the past week (especially those made by Harriet, aka hskelly) and was inspired to pull my brayer out after years of inactivity. Oh, this was fun!! I had to do some improvising with my results, but I'm so pleased with how everything turned out. I colored my main panel with the brayer and sponging, as well as the card base.
I think this will make a super special occasion card for either a female or male. Into my stash it goes
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!
