I made this card for the double challenge today and for a special young woman named Lindsay. Although I have never been to one of Mothermark's famous tea parties before I have enjoyed reading past stories.
Well it would seem that the gauntlet has been laid down to Splitcoast Stampers. Now Aquilta The Hun aka Matilda D. Munn has apparently lost her mind to issue such a challenge to this group. She doesn't stand a chance against our united front. Chenille is sure to see the quilt of love that we are able to stitch together and there will be NO DOUBT in her mind as to who the winner is. Aquilta will have to hide in shame.
Now for my contribution - I decided to make a patch to put on the quilt of love for Lindsay.
I paper pieced the quilt patch (pictures/calendars) and sewed (yeah for me! I don't sew) it together and edged it with a piece of lace. I embossed the blue panel and stamped the green panel, mounted the quilt square and added the birds to the corners.
The flowers and colors are the only elements from the teapot... sorry Mothermark I hope this doesn't let your group's standards down too far, as it isn't exactly a teapot. LOL

This is so creative!! I love how you stitched together recycled calendar photos--anything repurposed gets two thumbs up in my book And you really did it in style. Love your stitching, bird punches, lace trim, and especially that perfect quote. Super use of the challenge colors, too

Letting the standards down - no way. If you've attended as a visitor, you'll know there are no rules. But even if there were, you've quilted a lovely quilt, you've sewn and stitched, and you've made such a lovely inspiring and heartening card. What more could you hope to achieve at a tea-party??
