Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
I wanted to use this frog/toad again. Why? Because I was asked, "Why is there a Frog and a Bird in the Speedy the Cat's Friends stamp set?" I laughed and said, "If I put a cockroach and a June bug in there you would have FREAKED!" You see, Speedy the Cat LOVES frogs! One got in the house one time, and he protected it from the other cats! SERIOUSLY, he shoo'd it out the door! No, he wasn't saving it for "later!" LOL He just doesn't KILL. He's a "NO KILL Animal!" Gotta love that in a child/pet...Besides, I've got my "hunters" living here, too...5 of them is plenty!
The friend of Speedy the Cat was stamped in Adirondack Espresso and sponged in with Palette Water Lily Green, Chartreuse and Landscape. It was cut out. Next, I stamped the top of the tree from Our Family tree to create the "sticks" in the marsh. I added in the flowered branch from Thoughts of Joy and colored them in with a Memento Marker. And, I reverted back to putting dots on this one...I thought it would be a good touch since I used polka dot ribbon today!
Finished card size: 5" square
Total time to create: 27 minutes

I always like to read your descriptions on your cards. This one is great. It is always about the details with your cards. Here I love the sponging and the perfectly placed white dots. The green and gold background paper is perfect for this card and then you go and top it all off with the golden frog. Awesome.
