Wow, how happy was I to discover that Peggy Elms suggested a site with some fabulous Erte' images for the Inspiration Challenge today! Way to go Peggy and thanks to Stef for featuring it!
You would think, being a humongo Erte' fan that I could have come up with a better card. But isn't that just the way it goes some times ... perhaps I was cowed by his sheer creative genius!
Anyhoo, it was totally fun to play in the challenge today!
As to the card ... used Proterra Eggplant card base atop gloss white stock. Sponged parts in white craft, used a gel pen for dots, embossed the delightful Drama Queen in white (thanks to Anne Ryan for this ever so glam stamp which was pretty perfect for this challenge!). Circle punched a moon in silver and doused everything in Glimmer Mist which was a splendid gift from ardodd ... (thanks Anne, I'm lovin' your presies!) I just love the sparkle which is probably not evident in the photograph.
After a grueling week, I'm calling it a day and apologize for my horrific attempt at a card this evening. I will be back tomorrow to comment on your creations for this challenge!
Thanks for taking a peek and have a wonderful weekend!
Postnote: forgot to link the inspiration ... oops!

Wow, this takes my breath away~ it's so dramatic! You have captured something beautiful, even if it doesn't remind YOU of Erte, it yells out at ME of the art deco style!

I don't get it, M! This is a perfect inspiration card and just gorgeous! I love the colors, the design with the rounded top and 2nd layer. The moon is beautiful. I am jealous that you had such a pretty image to use on this challenge. Enjoy your weekend after your grueling week!

I think that you have created a wonderful card. I knew immediately which piece you had chosen without having to look. I think that you absolutely nailed it. Great job on this challenge.
