This was my first major card using gamsol, still figuring it out, but I do love the technique and think that I will really like it. It was my original plan to mat this with a nestabilities, but the image was too large, so I decided to cut it out--that's what took a great deal of time! I ended up using two stamped images, and just colored the second one around the edges. With the finished stamped image, I cut each of the two large blossoms out, then cut out each of the two groups of leaves. I attached the stamped image that I only colored around the edges first (I cut this one out in its entirety). Then I mounted the two groupings of leaves, using thinner dimensionals. To try and give the blossoms a bit of depth, I used thicker dimensionals, and doubled up on them in the middle of the blossoms, trying to give a curved appearance. I hope that you think it worked! I made an almost identical card for a very special lady who's like a second mom to me for her birthday not long after I made the first card for my Mom.
Lavender and purples are favorite colors for me, so I often use this SU Almost Amethyst CS, and at the time was just starting using my new cuttlebug which I also love. Thanks for checking this out!
