I had to have another go at today's IC, to give it a better chance than this morning's card. It was passable, this I LOVE. It took a heck of a lot longer than 15 minutes, though, and I'll still have to stick it a bit better tomorrow when the acrylic is totally dry. Then it won't look crooked, which it isn't IRL.
Should I add white *blanket stitch* around the base layer too? Opinions welcome... Rooster Hand-Painted Border Clock
Can't remember what size I ended up trimming the black base to...stamped the images from Homespun Quilt on watercolour paper and coloured with re-inkers. Added white speckles to the hen's wings. Pieced together onto a square of card, layered onto black and added the lines with a white gel pen. Painted some black card with copper acrylic, and drew lines and swirls in the corners with a fine embossing tool. Layered the quilt onto this, and this onto a black base. So much fun...

Sabrina~ A true work of art, and with so much heart in it as well. This is beautiful, and has the most cozy look to it! Absolutely gorgeous. Buy a frame! TSMFS
