For today's teapot challenge hosted by MariLynn. We had a beautiful cardinal on a teapot as our inspiration. There was also a creative poem but I didn't see it until I had the card finished. We don't have cardinals in Colorado so I thought just stamping the bird rather than try to color it correctly was best. Note to self after cutting the sprays, buy a leaf punch!

No cardinals here, either - but I still love them. We used to get Christmas cards from my great-aunts and other relatives in Canada, and I always loved them. But I think going the way you did looks very sophisticated, especially with that lacy background.
