I got this stamp for my birthday yesterday, so I was eager to try it out!! I like how the colors go together and all, but I think that it needs something more around the wagon. Please let me know what you think - and if you have any ideas on what to do in the empty space, please share them as well!! TFL!!!!!!!

Very cute card! I love the image! Personally I would maybe add some shadowing around the wagon so it doesn't have that "floating" effect and maybe do some shading around the edge of the die cut part.

This is a really sweet card. When I looked at it my first thoughts were to bring the stamped image down a little bit and add some words, maybe punched out and added with dimensionals. I would then tie a ribbon all the way around the lower part of the card, right under the stamped image. Adding a little sponged sky and grass could add some depth too.
If you do any of the changes suggested...please post it, I would really like to see the before and after!
I am new here, but what I would suggest is inking the edge of the white paper with a pink to match the background paper. I am not sure if the technique has a name or not, but you just rub the edge of the paper on the ink pad and it kind of frames it.
Hope you can bring this card into you "favorites" soon!!

I would get some 'flower soft' and apply it to the flowers etc and make them come to life. You could do the same with beads. Apply whatever to the flowers in the wagon and sprinkle some around the ground to give character there.

Basically it's a pretty card. I am relatively new to stamping so I feel like I'm the small dog walking with the big experienced dogs but here goes. The wagon and its colours are pretty on their own but they fade out near the gingham and the white space around the wagon. So perhaps you could sponge in some colour to take out some of the white space. This might take the gingham down a notch and bring the wagon more in to focus. Maybe add some colour to the wagon wheels as well because they are usually the same colour as the rest of the wagon (red). I really like the ribbon on the side. Hope this helps.
how about a sparkly gel pen run through the flowers and grass on the ground. stitches around the top note. do you have flower soft? that would look pretty dotted in the flowers. very pretty stamp

Hi - I think it is cute but I agree it looks a little lost. Could you do some faux stitching following the shape of the frame but a little way in to draw the eye in a bit - alternatively could you use some flowers, leaves or other adornments on the inside edge of the frame to bring it in a bit more. Good luck.

Hi there, maybe it could do with some stamped grass. It looks a bit lost as if the wagon isn't grounded - but hey, what do I know? Good luck with it.

My first impression is that I would put something in the picture like a dog to tie in a story to the cart. Obviously this is a childs cart and what better than a dog to bring a story to life.I also agree that a verse would be nice.Like Summer Fun, or Young at Heart. Good job !

I found your post about constructive criticism on cards. I can look and look at a card and then put it away and get it out another day and hope that I will be inspired to think of the touch that it needs. I would sponge the white area leaving the wagon highlighted in the middle of the card. Bingo it will be finished. Sometimes I have taken apart the pieces and put them together in a different way and Voila it works. Thanks for thinking of a great tread for discussion.

So far, it's adorable. Great image, great coloring and nice DSP choice, but you're right, it needs something. I'm stumped, too. I think the best suggestion is adding a sentiment with a label punch on the center bottom overlapping the DSP and the "window" to tie them together.
