I combined today's technique challenge - faux grid and this weeks colour challenge... lavender lace, black, white, going grey and barely banana, plus Our Creative Corners challenge - use pets or any other animal on your card.
I made the faux grid first, next I stamped on my Appaloosa Charlie Horse, flowers, butterflies and clouds. Coloured in the grid squares - I water coloured the baraley banana squares and daisies with SU reinkers and coloured the lavender squares and butterflies with prismacolour pencil crayons and gamsol. Charlie was water coloured with basic black, I added the black dots on his body using the dirt dots from Hanna Stamps - Route 66 set, the clouds are from HS - Route 66 as well. I used a white gel pen for his white dots. For the going grey speckles on the ground and top part of the faux grid I used a stamp from SU itty bitty backgrounds. Sponged edge with basic black. I matted the 4 x 4 faux grid panel with white, black and lavender lace. Sewed edges. Attached the "Happy" pewter sentiment with ribbon. Added the lavender brads and Diamond stickles. Main card is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4. I sewed in a 1/4" on the going gray base card. Popped up main image panel.
