I was really blinded by all the great inspiration choices today! In the end, I chose Matches because of the wonderful, marbled papers. I also wanted to include at least one card for the Fan Club May theme of strong women and girly stuff.
I was also inspired by recently watching Steel Magnolias. What a great movie about strong women. I just love Olympia Dukakis and I remembered I had a stamp w/ one of her lines in this movie. I also have quite a few hand marbled papers I made a number of years ago. They're each different and due to their nature, there's no way to duplicate them. Unless of course you make a color copy. That's what I do so I can keep the originals.
So my copy of hand marbled paper was cut w/ a couple of different sized Nesties. The image (TSG) was stamped once on white c/s and once on the marbled paper, then paper pieced. I added a little color to the woman w/ Prisma pencils. Each layer of marbled paper is attached to a layer of navy c/s.
The sentiment (Ann-ticiapations) was stamped and cut w/ a Quickutz rectangle die using the out of the box tech (tutorial HERE). It's also colored w/ Prismas. The little accessories (SG and Stampendous) were added around the sentiment. The narrow navy band above it was embossed w/ a Sizzix folder.
The upper right corner was scored w/ a Scor-It and I added liquid pearls on the rays and also on the image.
Thanks so much for looking

This is beautiful Julie. I am amazed at the detail you put into each and every design. Beautiful marbled paper. This image is elegant and the sentiment is perfect. Super job.
