Hi! This ONE LAYER card was made for today's Limited Supply challenge: It's Hot! Let's Shed Some Layers! Participants were to make ONE LAYER cards.
I wanted to combine this challenge with the Stampin' B's Challenge: Use a Photo on a card. I printed out this clip art photo butterfly onto White COLOR COPY card stock- 80lb cover. (I cut down the paper to make the card base.) Next, I embossed the circle with a Nestie. Then, I printed out another butterfly, cut it out, and used removable tape to cover the original image. (It was a mask. I removed it after I stamped the vines.) I cut a hole with the Nesties die in a scrap piece of paper to use as a mask. I placed it over the EMBOSSED circle. Then, I inked the vines in Always Artichoke, stamped the image and sponged in the colors.
I colored in the vines with Copic Markers and added Inkssentials pen dots to the buds.
Total time: Under 10 minutes including printing and masking.

Faith - I just wanna come and hang out with you so that even just a little bit of your awesome creativity can rub off on me! What a gorgeous card! I love butterflies and can probably use some of my own photos for the card (how cool would that be - since I raise Monarchs). Can't wait to get back to my stamping supplies so that I can make one of these - correction, LOTS of these beauties!
You're the Stamping BOMB!
