Hi everyone, and thanks Dawn for a very cool challenge. I am back from my trip to Northern Ca and was so impressed by the flowers that thrive in the climate there. What are annuals here in the scruffy Northeast seemed to be perennials out west and I literally saw a Fuschia plant that was over six feet tall!! WOWZERS! The Calla Lilies were no exception, they seemed to be a favorite out there and I saw many *stands* of the beautiful and peacful flowers. They were amazing, many over 4 feet high!!!! I got out my *Me and Carrie Lou* stamp for this challenge, and stamped it on some *dollar spot* dp, and layered it on a making memories topnote die. The butterflies are punched out of the Target dp, and pearls and ribbon were added.
This card also qualifies for the Stampin B challenge which I hostessed this week, and it is to use a flower on your card! Any flower whatsoever! Please play along and be sure to use the keyword StampinB so we can find you! Herer is a link to our blog!! http://stampinbsdesignteam.blogspot.com/
Hugs!!!
TFL!

When I lived in the Bay Area, I felt the same! So different back in Calgary (Canada). The only things that seems to want to grow here are evergreens and succulents...sigh!
What a fun mix of papers...the one you used for your lily is so unique!

I'm fascinated by the centre of the lily, the spathe or whatever it's called. I'm sure it's just the same paper, but somehow it manages to look like micro-beads. This is pretty and soft.
You should see the fuchsia here - especially down in the south-west where the climate is milder due to the Gulf Stream, they grow rampant, and fuchsia hedges are common all along the west. But even growing up on the east coast, we had one in the garden that was a good 8 foot high or more.
