I needed one more card for my May CCC09 batch, so today's sketch was it - thanks, Amber. With two patterned papers and a brad (or two, or three - hope that counts?) I think it also qualifies for the CCEE supply challenge this month.
It's an A2 card, all the papers are from the Sizzix Little Sizzles Country pad.
The image was stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Inks Faded Jeans, which was also used to sponge all the edges. I added some Frosted Lace Stickles, watercoloured the mittens and scarf to pick up the yellow from the paper, and added silver Stardust to the snow. The little blue and yellow brad is from Buttons Galore.
The sentiment is from Lots of Thoughts, stamped onto the blue card and edges with the silver Stardust pen again. Sentiment and blue layer with image panel are popped up on foam.
TFL.The image is layered up first on the same two papers that I used for the patterned section. I didn't look closely enough at first, and just cut them diagonally in two, before realising that in fact the blue check panel should have been a bit less than from corner to corner.

Sabrina, how exceptional is this! Fabulous interpretation of today's challenge. Yes, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to your fine, green country. Of course, we took every tour available, and before we left, we knew Irish history like no tomorrow. We did go to wicklow for the day, which was so picturesque and beautiful in all that green. I was distressed, however, to learn my maiden name that I still go by, Fitzsimons, is not irish as I've always been led to believe, but rather it's a norman name from the 1200's. We didnt spend nearly as much time in Ireland as we would have liked, so John has decided we'll be back next year!

Sabrina, this is charming. I love your blues with yellow. I was admiring your wonderful dp cut on the diagonal behind your snowman and on your main panel. Never once thought that it shouldn't look just as it does! Really lovely. And I also like that Faded Jeans ink. tfs

This is lovely! I love the DP (the little stars are darling) and how you colored the scarf to match and how you sanded the CB folder. I thought this was a difficult sketch to do and you did a WONDERFUL job with it!
