Hello everyone! It's a rainy Memorial Day here in NC so I got to stamp instead of work on a deck! Yay!!!
I am so excited today because I can announce that I was asked to be a Guest Designer for Our Daily Bread Designs for June and July, and today is my first post using the soon to be released set "Ask, Seek, Knock". It's such a great set with several great sentiments and this fantastic door image. This will be available June first at the Our Daily Bread Store here:
Today's technique worked out perfectly with these stamps! This is a new technique for me... it's a hinged card and Wendy made a great video showing how to make this. Check out TLC222 if you want to play along!
I changed up the dimensions and made my card 5 1/4" square. I used basic black for my base and BasicGrey's Scarlet's Letter for the dp. I stamped the door image on Aquarello 140 lb watercolor paper and then did a wet on wet wash with inks and markers. The hinges and hardware are done with a glitter gel pen. The shimmer does not show in the photo... but it looks cool irl.
The swirls are QuicKutz, the border punch is MS. The leafy ribbon came from my lss.
Thanks so much for looking! Have a very happy Memorial Day!!!

I love the trailing vine over the doorway, Grace! How clever of you to have hidden the sentiment behind the door.....great job!!
