I need some opinions. I like my basic design, but it just seems to be lacking something. Maybe it is the color? Needs more background. Open to any and all suggestions. This is my entry for a new set card swap, so I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

It looks great as it is...but if you want to spice it up some...maybe another color layer behind the yellow (real red?) and maybe the gingham behind the envelope all the way around the card with a knot in the upper right corner instead of just around the envelope????? JMO

I really do love it as-is..but when I picture it with a layer of Ruby Red around the envelope/pocket piece then I love it more... genefer has a good thought.

Great card . . . the only idea I have for a change is to possibly stamp some chicken feet in versamark on the top of the apricot background. What did you use on the bottom of the bkgd? Does SU have a checked bkgd stamp?

I agree with the above suggestions. I think you have ruby red for the chicken wattle, so maybe some ruby red behind the envelope. I, however. do like the chicken feet above the checkered bg. After trying some thoughts "in person" please post both before and after pics again. This is fun
Love this card! Ideas huh? Well, you know how you sponged/edged the tag?? You should do the same to the card. Edging always makes the creation look finished and the two pieces will match beautifully :0)

Just checking the suggestions before I go out to work on my "upgrade". Will post as soon as I finish later tonight. As for the checkerboard, it is a stencil that I versamarked on the apricot.

Wow I agree with the others it is just so cute! I also think the red would be perfect behind the chick matt and some red checks on the insert would tie it all together more. It is a great idea for the Stampin Success article in the Three Variations O ;-) n One striking Idea area. Please do update us I like it! Hugs Belinda
