Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Rose Red, Basic Gray and Pretty In Pink.
I have to say, these colors are some of my favorites. I use them often! LOL! And, when I saw this challenge I REALLY wanted to make a flower card, but decided to challenge myself. Since I wanted to use a flower, I decided upon an animal...I found this cute elephant and decided he was perfect! LOL!
I stamped the images in NOir Black Palette Ink and colored in the body with Copic Markers. I stamped the elephant image again onto watercolor paper and colored in the pants and hat with SU! markers and used an aqua painter to blend. I cut out the pants, hat and stars and Speedy the Cat SWIPED them! I decided to just make another set! LOL! I paper pieced on hat and pants.
The diamonds are from a new Cuttlebug die that I got with Clownmom in Mt Dora, FL. Amazingly, the small stamp store there had LOTS of cool things, but I only purchased this die! LOL!(Mark was with us...Shopping with him is like having a financial advisor with you in Las Vegas! LOL)
I ran the diamonds through the Cuttlebug embossing folder. I rubbed stamp pads, tone on tone onto the embossed areas.

Awesome that you resisted the flower urge! This came out great! I love that amazing bow and the diamond shaped layers....in addition to all the other details!
