Hi! We were to create a card of something we did as child or younger person. Now, I must admit that I did NOT sit atop an easter egg in the form of a chick at anytime in my childhood - but I needed some Easter Cards - and my mom used to arrange the most fabulous chocolate Easter Egg hunts for all 5 of we kids when we were young - so it fits! My mom was a pretty good sport- I think she even enjoyed our 6:30 am Easter Chocolate hunts! She would hide 5 each of every chocolate bunny, chocolate egg etc all over the living room and kitchen when we young - and we all got up at the same time in the am and searched together. It was a lot of fun!
Anyway........ I'll be back to comment more later - but I am just off to get more of this glitter paper - turned out I really like it and I just have the small stack... Maybe next time I should use brighter colour in the background - but this looked like a yummy chocolate brown!!
Thanks for looking!

Wanna B Detective, how wonderfully sweet this is. Your coloring is superb, dahling! So glad this doesnt reflect what you did as a kid! Loved your story too. Wonderfully sweet, just like you, I must say! I'm still working on that card for you. It will knock your socks off. It's still in the planning stage, but just you wait...

We always hunted for Easter candy on Easter morning, although I never sat on an egg either! These colors do remind me of Easter candy really, the chocolate and the pink and then those sugary eggs that were little dioramas and you'd peek inside and see a little chick like that one. Cute!

I love this cute chick image and just saw it for the first time in Cardmaker magazine. Was that your card I was looking at? This is so cute, Deborah! Your coloring is terrific! I also have fond childhood Easter egg hunt memories and was just telling my husband that even though we don't have kids in the house anymore, WE could still color eggs! Wouldn't that be fun? Hee!
