Good morning! Todays Challenge for the Limited Supplies is called Out on a Lamb, meaning to use only black, white, gray but you can use embellishments. The way its looking outside, the challenge is great using these colors. We are headed for a snow storm. A snow storm to Oklahoma is like 1 inch...little do they know.
Here is my story:
My friend asked me to make a card for her son using the colors of her son's new bike. I made a card similar last year for my son because he also got a bike. But his had different colors. I couldn't do yesterdays challenge, as that I was too busy. So, I decided to do the Limited Supplies challenge today. But I'm still going to try it later. This card works great using todays colors. Amazing how things work out like they do. The only stamp I had was from CTMH Oh Happy Day. I trimmed the basket and flowers off the stamp and just used the bike. I stamped it with black stazon and colored the bike the way his real bike looks. His new bike doesnt have the fenders on though. I outlined the spokes with my silver glittery pen and used brads for the nuts. The bike is colored with primascolor pencils. The dp is from DCVW and I ran it through the CB traffic jam folder. I mounted the bike twice and added the bike path using gray c/s with a black sharpie for the lines. I used my CM circle punches, eyelet, ribbon, and stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts. It was hard not to use any ribbon on a little boys card. I hope my friend likes this card as that my son loved his last years. Thanks for this challenge. Have a great day!
