It was a great challenge Stef gave us today. I loved the thumbnail with the churches and Christmas trees with eggs on them - the churches reminded me of the icing one I made for my brother's wedding cake, and the trees are so like some decorations we had for years which I am sure came from Canada, because I have never seen anything like them anywhere else till now.
But in fact, the first thing I found that I thought I'd use for a card was a cherry blossom cup... and then because I don't have a lot of time today (unexpected guests coming for dinner) I went for these little fishes - http://www.roomservicehome.com/image...tes_456_lg.jpg.
I didn't have time to make a whole set of thirteen, alas...
I used some alcohol ink background that I'd made earlier in the week, and cut out 3 fish shapes. Outlined them with black pen, added punched eyes and covered them with Versamark and several layers of UTEE. One was left plain, to the other two I added texture with some Fiskasrs texture plates. The one with scales, I added a bit of rub-on lustre too. Some Stickles bubbles and that's it. I've tried adding waves, and sentiments, and nothing works. I think I am too tired, yesterday was rather manic. But it will do fine for a masculine card any day, or it could go with a sentiment like *School's out* on the inside.

Unique card! I love the fish. They look like they are ceramic pieces. TFS.
