Good morning! I was just a busy stamper last night, made 4 different cards using techniques from the Resource page here on SCS. I'll upload them later on today. I'm going to try to type this without going to sleep at the computer.
Here is my story:
This is for the color challenge and we were to use olive, pumpkin pie, and summer fun colors on our cards. I knew what I wanted the stamp to be, so I got to work. I stamped the pears onto watercolor paper (120lb wt) with pumpkin pie and more summer sun ink. While the stamp was still inked, I went back over certain areas with a olive green marker. Repeated the process for another pear. Once the pears were stamped, I went over the images using my blender pen with dabs of water and the inks. I used clear versamark ink, emboss powder, and heat set. I sponged lightly the same inks onto the image once embossed. Cut out both pears. I used the computer to for the sentiment onto vanilla c/s. You can't really tell in the picture, but I scored 1/4 from the top and bottom of the vanilla c/s. I think I need to press harder. I added some soft silk ribbon and tied. I had a little bit of trouble with the ribbon because it is too soft. I mounted all the layers onto the summer sun base. The pears are on the card with foam tape. I had fun doing this card. I find it hard to believe that I even completed the color challenge. I am usually very busy on Tuesdays. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
What do you think?
