My Valentine's Day was spent relaxing and even got a nap. My boys gave me a massage and brushed my hair. Aren't they sweet! Now, my older son who is 11 is always watching out for me with these challenges now. It was 10:30pm and he told me that the challenge wasn't up yet. So, he went to bed. I sat down at the computer and browsed the galleries. I must of fell asleep because I woke up with a sore neck and it was midnight. Needless to say, I headed upstairs to create this card.
Here is my story:
The Featured Stamper for today is Julie Lacey. She has a wonderful gallery and many cards to choose from. I chose this card to case TECC52MD - Geisha Anya by juliemlacey at Splitcoaststampers. But I just noticed that it was a case that she cased as well. I hope my card still works after all night creating. This works out great for me because I just received this stamp set from The Greeting Farm a few days ago. It was a free set because they were thanking all the military people and service. All I had to do was send in a picture of my husband. On with the story. I stamped the image with black ink, colored it using colored markers. I didn't have the right camo color, so I used a funky green and went back over it using a mustard colored marker on the lighter color. Cut out. Now, this card gave me troubles with trying to create the edges. I tried several things and ended up using those silly decorative scissors. It's not perfect, but this will be going into my dh's scrapbook. I cut a piece of camouflage dp and used the CB mesh folder on it. I sponged the whole piece of dp with "old paper" distress ink. I attached to white c/s. I used the cb star die cuts on chipboard and also on the gold metallic c/s. Glued together and then attached. I used stickers for the letters for the USMC. The sentiment and the image are attached with foam tape. Thank you for the challenge. Thank you for viewing my card. I hope you like it. Have a great Sunday.
My husband caught me again by staying up all night...but I showed him this card and he likes it.
Bonnie
Things I changed: image, square card, and added letters.
Good night and good morning...It's 6:00am, whoops!

What a cute card.
I have a son that is in the Marine's.
And one that is in the Army.
My husband was in the Navy as well as my daughter.
My son-in-law is still in the Navy.
I would love some of this little man.
Do you ever stamp and mail to other's?
I would pay you for them.
