For the covers of this Triple Pop-Out Card (see details for pop-out pages in "top view" posting) I didn't have any decorative paper that worked for this project, but during my search I rediscovered some hot card paper (tissue paper ironed onto freezer paper) I had made previosly with cocoa colored tissue paper. So, I decided to make my own decorative paper. First, I antiqued the hot card paper with DTP using Close to Cocoa, then stamped with Versamark and Toile Blossoms (tricky part is to see where you already stamped) and then embossed with Midnight Copper Obsidian EP. I then trimmed the paper to size for covering the matboard and glued it on with Nori paste adhesive. This paper worked really well for this because it's fairly light weight. It has a lot of texture and even has an almost fabric kind of feel to it. The tree image is also embossed with the same EP and colored in with Twinkling H20's (Blushing Caramel). I used Creamy Caramel to stipple and stamp around the tree, then sponged with Close to Cocoa. The Chocolate Chip layer was embossed with the same EP using On Safari and then sponged with Chocolate Chip to make the cardstock even darker. The tree and Chocolate Chip layers were layered onto the Brushed Copper and then tied together with the copper cording. I also antiqued the white organdy ribbon with Close to Cocoa. Of course, the scan doesn't do justice to the shimmer and sparkle.
