This is an entry for two challenges Stamp Simply 56 to do a card in honoring Sharon Johnson's style using nature images and wide ribbon and for the LSC189 ot use hardware or gems, cardstock but no punches or dies.
I recently purchased the Autumn Squirrel from Kitchen Sink Stamps (www.kitchensinkstamps.com) and today I received my brand new and first ever purchase from Flourishes -A Forest of Trees. (www.flourishes.org)
Both sets are filled with nature images and I thought they would be perfect to combine for Sharon's challenge and for the LSC challenge as well.
I stamped the trees with Brilliance Chocolate and embossed with clear EP. I painted the trees with Olive and then used Aidrondack marker to create the fall colored leaves on the trees. I stamped the Squirrel(3 steps) with Caramel, Close to Cocoa and then finished with the Brilliance Chocolate and embossed. I used a grass sprigs image from my Kittie Kits Outdoor Master, stamping again with the Brilliance and embossed again. I sponged on the ground area and used the markers to add colorful leaves, or just the impression of them, to the ground. I sponged the sky area with Distress Scattered Straw to highlight the trees.
