Background is a faux layer using an oval template. First it was sponged with creamy caramel and some sage shadow, then stamped with French Script and the line of trees from Lovely as a Tree. Then the template was removed and the entire piece was stamped with linen and weather backgrounds, then the large tree and greeting were embossed with clear on Hunter craft ink. For my Christmas SAS I eliminated several of the layers of background stamps and used confetti cream paper instead and it looks so pretty.
ETA: Thank you all so much for your comments, I am stunned (and tickled) by your kind words! I've never gotten so many comments on anything before! Since a few people have asked I thought I'd mention that the oval template is cut with any kind of oval cutter (CM or Colluzle etc.) on light-weight typing paper. I have typed directions I'd be glad to send to anyone that is curious... just PM me. ETA: I've finally posted the 'other' card. Here is a link to the comparison: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
