Hi! Today's card was made for 3 challenges: Clean and Simple: Sentiment is FOCUS of the Card; Technique Lovers: Make it Personal; Speedy's Friends Challenge: Buttons and Bows.
Well...The sentiment is the focal image of the card. I positioned the bird so that it was "pointing" at the sentiment. This sentiment is VERY personal to me. You see, Big Grand-daddy used to say it to my grandmother, everyday. He'd come into the kitchen and whisper it in her ear and kiss her on the neck. She'd swat him away and he'd wink at me. It is something that I remember, because, now, MY HUSBAND whispers it to me every morning...It's quite romantic, brings my grandfather into my day, and I just love him for it. The colors are the colors of Mark's Favorite shirt, so I'm fairly certain he will like it. (He's going out of town this week, so I'm going to put it in his suitcase!)
I stamped the image in Adirondack Pitch Black and sponged in Distress inks: Crushed Olive, Tumbled Glass and Spiced Marmalade. There are just two layers to this card.
Finished Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total Time to complete: 14 minutes...Seriously...It would have been less, but Speedy the Cat was "helping!" LOL

WOW, your cards are always so stunning, this is no exception. I'm sure Mark will smile like no other when he finds this in his suitcase. What a great little hummingbird... and that sentiment is so timeless.
