Today was going to be my day off..UNTIL I found out what the technique challenge was...to do a card inspired by Kittie! wowza! I love kittie's cards (and Kittie!) so I couldn't pass this one up.
I drew the tree but colored it with watercolors since I dont have brown reinkers..used the fern stamp for the leaves...sponged the grass in garden green and old olive (oh, after stamping the wagon and creating a mask for it!). I stamped the big dog separately and colored him and added a ribbon...set him aside. After doing the grass, I used the fern stamp for greenery and some flowers. Sponged the sky and added the big dog. Finally, I matted the picture and punched holes at top for ribbon.
TFL! Hope I made you proud Kittie...I tried!

Love how you made those great white stitches around on the cranberry paper. It looks so good with the ribbon. Great artwork on all the scenery.

You did a great job with this scene. Your tree is fantastic and I like how you improvised with the sponging. I hope I can do half as good as you when I tackle this one this weekend. tfs

Besides the beautiful scene, I love the way you used faux stitching on the matt to coordinate with the stitched cross grain ribbon!!! You are an artist for sure!!!!!
