This week is Tickle a Teapotter week. Usually we exchange cards where the receiver is unknown until the card arrives. Well this week, we're doing it a little differently. I hope she isn't looking at the gallery, as I would like her to be surprised, but if she is, oh well. Her mailbox is going to be inundated with cards. So I'm not going say who the recipient is, just in case.
We were supposed to do a card with polka dots. I love polka dots, but was having a difficult time with matching the black of the lace to the black of my polka dotted dp. Of course when I finished, I found the correct polka dotted dp to match the lace. Duh!
Anyhow, the flower is stamped onto vellum and fussy cut and placed on of top the ribbon and lace.
I'm always afraid of elements coming loose, especially when they sit in a cold mailbox, so the lace is hand sewn onto the pink piece. Hopefully everything has been adhered so it stays together. Now it just has to go through the mail.
This card is to say "Thank you" to a wonderful lady. To all the time she spent , her many many hours of devotion, to making this Teapot Tuesday challenge what it is, fun and so totally worthwhile!
edited to say, DUH! I didn't notice the flower petals look like hearts, thanks for the eye opener!

What a beautiful card! I am Mudder will luv it! I love the way you did the vellum flower and place the bow in the center, it is awesome. The black and pink are so cool together. Great job and I know it will touch Mudder's heart!

Hm, I've often had trouble matching whites, but maybe I've just never tried with black! That deep lace is simply gorgeous, and the heart-shaped petals in the flower are perfect for a Valentine's party. I love the little ribbon in the centre of it too. This is a real beauty.

This is spectacular! The delicate lace and flourish are great.
p.s. I had a dozen pieces of b&w papers - and discovered a lot of black really has brown tones - so hard to match!
