Tonite I babysat for my sweet grand daughter Olivia Lou, and came home to find my son in law trying to shoot a mouse under my refrigerator with his bee-bee gun. (sp???) is it really a bee-bee gun??? ANYWAY.....back out I went to our all night Kroeger for some mouse traps.....all night I'm gonna be picturing this little guy like he's as cute as a house mouse - like maybe he has found some cute little pose down stairs right now! Maybe he's painting a pansy, or playing the piano, or even all curled up in a cute winter hat.....and the poor little guy does not know his days are numbered.....his HOURS are numbered.....the dreaded TRAP. Okay, so in reality, he is NOT as cute as a house mouse and the only way I can sleep tonite is because my daughter told me mice can't climb stairs.....but what about tomorrow when I have to go DOWN the stairs to get ready for work and I'm the only one up, just me and Mr. Mouse......I am taking my trusty golden with me.....Luca will get em if the trap hasn't yet......man, I do not think I am gonna have sweet dreams tonite.....but then again, maybe he will hop on Luca's back and look all cute perched there and take a ride.....why do we think house mouses are so darn cute when real ones are very ugly????Anyway - you can see I am a bit distracted from my sketch tonite.....sweet dreams everyone, and I will sleep soundly, knowing now that mice don't climb stairs.....my daughter said so.......hope you like this card!! (Do you think it's true that mice don't climb stairs???)

This is so pretty! I love the vibrant colors. I'm pretty sure mice can climb stairs...how else would they get in peep's attics? Does remind me of the saying..."Second mouse gets the cheese" lol.

Oh Karen, such a gorgeous gorgeous card here. Your pumpkins look good enough to eat. Love your black gems, or are those little mouse droppings? hehe Hope you sleep well tonight. Like others have said, mice do climb stairs. Now if they were to fall into the tub, they would be stuck there. How do I know this you might ask? My cat would catch a mouse and put it in the tub because she knew they couldn't get away. What fun. LOVE your card! TFS :0)

You are hilarious, Karen! We've had a couple of mice in our house this year too, and I don't like it one bit, even when they are cute. They seem to think they own the place, and they boldly venture into the kitchen or utility room and LOOK AT ME--EEK! Luckily I have a husband who either hauls them out of the house with gloves or traps them and hauls them out that way.
By the way, your card is ever so stunning! LOVE IT!
Been there and done that with trapping....uh...mice..not! We live in Florida and somehow got a few rats living in our attic. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!! We had to call in professionals for that job. I was horrified. Your card is gorgeous.
Since it's been a couple days I assume you caught that little rodent before he did climb the steps! He might have climbed up one set of stairs but surely not to the third floor where you sleep!!!!!
LOVE the card.
