Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.
Now, I have to admit this, I LOVE these colors together...However, Mark walked in, carrying Speedy the Cat, while I was making this card and said, "YUCK! Sepia Christmas?" Even Speedy the Cat looked disgusted with me!
Well, I don't care! LOL! I wanted an elegant Christmas Card for Markie's piano teacher, and I think this will be for him. And, if he doesn't like it, he is MUCH too polite to say so! LOL!
The card stock colors go from bottom to top: Basic Black, Sahara Sand and then Very Vanilla. It LOOKS white because I stamped that pine bough in VersaMark and embossed in Very Vanilla. I think the overhead light shines on the embossing and makes it look white...
The pine bough was stamped in Sahara Sand on the designer paper and then I sponged around the edges with Sahara Sand.
The tree was stamped in Noir Black Palette Hybrid Ink and then run through the Nesties. Next, I sponged the edge with Sahara Sand to give the illusion on another layer.
I love your card; it is so elegant and beautiful; I would love to receive a card like that..hint hint!!!..your son's piano teacher is certainly a lucky lady!!!
Your work is stunning!!! even if the cat doesn't like it!!!!

I love what you've done with this color combo! What a breath-taking and elegant card! I think it will be perfect for the piano teacher, and we should all be so lucky as to receive sepia Chistmas wishes!
