All we are saying is give orchid a chance! Can you hear me singing? 'Cause I've got my lighter waving in the air as I sing a slight twist on the '80s staple.
I'd decided earlier this week that I really wanted to use this image and CC14 for a sketch challenge card if this week's sketch permitted, and it did. Ok, gray is kinda an odd choice for a birthday card, but I sort of like it. I've seen a bunch of cards lately where most of the card front is white, so I tried that too. Prolly what took the longest is using the SAMJ to line up all those little happy happy happy stamps...it's a 3-line stamp from Teeny Tinies that I used as the background for my gray panel.
Image is stamped with Basic Gray and watercolored (I've got a teeny bit of Certainly Celery and Barely Banana in there for the leaves and the candle flames, respectively) and then everything else is stamped with Orchid Opulence. Hey look, I even have Orchid ribbon.
I promise I do own stamps that are in the current SU catalog, but I'm having some fun with some of my older retired sets. They need lovin' too. I'm gonna go make another SC164 card, maybe even one without Orchid Opulence on it.

Grey is just right for a birthday card. Well this one is anyway. You are a patient one. The "happies" are a bright idea. Love the icing on the cake, I mean the coloring on the cake.
Hip hip hourray! This card is a winner in my book.
