I was inspired by the circle split into sections. Some time ago I saw a card that used wedges of a circle as part of the design and when I saw this inspiration piece, I immediately thought of that. Took me all day to decide what sets I wanted to use and how to incorporate them into this card, but I am very pleased with the result. The butterfly wings and the word are popped up. I first stamped the roses and then traced around a CD for a circle. The black layer behind the wedges is cut free-hand. The butterfly is sponged. I used a 1/4" circle punch on the corners of the word piece.

Wowzers Melody - this is gorgeous!!! I love how you interpreted the inspiration piece. The coloring of the butterfly is awesome! The half-circle reminds me of a fan so I get an asian feel from the card, very cool!

This card shows that cardmaking isn't just a weekend hobby, it is an artform that elevates one to true artistry. The colors, shapes and patterns in this card are amazingly original and breathtaking. It deserves a frame. Thank you so much for sharing it.

Each component of this card comes together beautifully - especially the butterfly. I wish I had your vision!

Have to remind myself to breathe as this card has taken my breath away. There are no words.. exquisite? better than that.. jaw-dropping? beyond that.. perfection? a new standard has been set for even that.
