This is a very late Teapot Tuesday card for Sabrina's fun challenge. Life has been a bit hectic and card making has sadly taken a backseat.
This background was an attempt at "Paint Swiping" but I got a bit carried away and before I knew it, there were no open white spaces.
I had a clean out before Christmas of all the dried up pots and dodgy tubes of acrylic paint. I pretended not to be surprised when I found 9 tubes of white paint.
To get all the different coloured paints on the background, I added a few drops of Distress re-inkers to white paint. Works a treat!
These fun birds came all the way from Canada...in a Michael's bag!! My lovely fellow Aussie friend Helen aka helekins sent this Dylusions stamp set to me during her holiday to Canada.
All of the birds come complete with legs and boots. I did however make new legs for big bird so I could fit them all on the card. The birds are fussy cut and stuck on the stenciled base. Their tail feathers are not stuck down, so the Teapotter who receives this can foof them up a bit so they look 3D.
The painted background was really hard to stamp on. I tried various inks, but the stamped sentiment dried, it faded into the background.
To finish off, I added a few dots by using an old Hero Arts dotty tree stamp and doodled a border.
Thank you for looking and a big thank you to Sabrina for co-ordination all the Teapot Tickles throughout the year.

Oh Susie - these are just great. Glad you got to use them. You have created a very cute scene with them - love all the bright splashes on these brightly coloured birdies.
