I made my first altered book in April, here it is F4A322 Heaven for Dolly by f.schles at Splitcoaststampers and enjoyed making it so much that I decided to make another. For the CTO616 to use angles, there are angles in the corners. The steps down to the sand are at an angle and the boat on the sand is angled in the opposite direction. It is pretty easy to see that it is a beach scene for the F4A332. The background is one part of a scene stamp. The steps are part of another stamp, and the boat is fussy cut from a third stamp. I mixed real sand with modeling paste to make the sandy area. I used the faux wood technique to cover the front of the book. When I was thinking of what to make for the beach theme I was planning to make someone reading at the beach...instead I put the beach inside of the book. As usual, I got a little carried away. Well, Francie, everyone has already used all the flattering and descriptive adjectives to describe how awesome your card or shadowbox is! So all I can say is Ditto - to every comment above!
