I am your hostess this week and I have chosen Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, and Pretty in Pink and for dessert: your favorite green. I made 2 cards this week - one CAS, and one a bit busier.
For this one, on a panel the size of my cover plate, I sponged the inks and then splattered with diluted inks of the same color. Then I splattered diluted white acrylic paint and sprayed the panel with shimmer spritz for a lovley sparkle. Attached this to the card front, stamped and die cut the birds and sentiment flag. Die cut the cover plate, stamped the tree lines on the birch trees and then attached to card front with dimensional tape. Finally I attached the birds and sentiment strip. Glad to be able to use this set for more than just winter cards - I think it works!
Come and join in the challenge - you may be our next favorite!!

Your card is lovely. Thanks for explaining your background. I can see what you did, but the explanation is excellent. Your die cut panel over the background is equally as wonderful.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow...what a great background effect. I love the colours for the challenge this week. Pinks and Oranges are so great together. The birch tree die cuts add nice dimension.

WOW, this is one of the most fascinating cards I've seen. All that sponging, spritzing and shine along with fabulous cover plate and cute birds. It doesn't get any better than this. I could never duplicate this beauty.
