The current Mix-Ability challenge is "Living on the Edge" - to have an unusual edge on your project.
My unusual edge is that the front of the card is cut narrower than the back of the card and my fussy-cut fairy is coming off the front edge. My mixed media are bister and brusho powders, ink, and embossing powder.
The background was done by sprinkling blue bister at the bottom of my piece of coated cs and blue brusho midway up - I wanted to get two different tones of blue (the brusho is much more vibrant). I spritzed with water and let the colours run and merge a bit. When dry, I stamped the "bubble vine" image on it with archival ink. I also stamped a bit of the image on the lower inside edge.
The fairy was stamped with black versafine ink on regular white cs and heat embossed with the most amazing ep - Stampendous Kaleidoscope ep. Depending on how much you heat it, you can get different colour tones - I heated different sections of the image for varying amounts of time. I think you can see blue, orange, green, and black tones in the photo. I fussy cut the fairy and taped her down at the bottom so that her bubbles seemed to come from the bubbles on the vine, and then popped her wings up on dimensionals to make her look like she's flying off the page.
