Hi there! This card was made for 3 different challenges...I was made for today's Inspiration Challenge: Cox & Cox. I chose these vases as inspiration. Come on...they look like pears, right?? I mean, I saw them and couldn't get this pear image out of my head! I also made this card for the Queen for the Day Challenge for this week. I chose This Card of Harriet's to CASE, (Copy And Share Everything). However, I ALSO CASED THIS CARD that Lois made for this week's challenge. And, since she was LAST week's Queen for a Day, I thought is was perfect to use for that challenge, too!
Ever have a "go to" stamp set for certain types of cards? I happen to LOVE this stamp set for ANNIVERSARIES! I think I've made over 100 anniversary cards with this set, and NONE of them look alike. (Don't you LOVE that???) Makes me feel like I got my money's worth. (Remember, I AM the cheapest woman alive.)
I stamped the images image in Adirondack's Ginger two times and colored in the pears with Copic Markers. I used: E53, YR20, YR24, V04, V09, and V17. Next, I cut out the images and sponged around the outside edges with Adirondack's Espresso. I punched out the butterfly and sponged around the edges with Adirondack's Espresso. The butterfly trail is the very last of the Prima crystals from a Prima Say It With Crystals bling piece. I made 9 cards with that!!! I'm VERY happy to admit that! heeheehee (Oh, and there are little crystals in the center of the flowers, too, all from that same piece from Prima!)
The border was done quite easily. And, I admit that I do NOT have a steady hand at this sort of thing, but I made a CHEAT sheet of sorts. I cut the Cheat Sheet out of CHIP BOARD, 1/2" smaller than the Snow Storm Smooth panel. Next, I lined up the Cheat Sheet onto the panel and LIGHTLY marked, with a pencil, where the line would be in the "sentiment areas." I removed the Cheat Sheet and stamped the sentiments in with Adirondack's Espresso. I put the Cheat Sheet back in place and used the Cheat Sheet as a guide to draw in the line. (I used a Memento Marker.)
What do you think?

First, I want to say: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!*
Then I want to say: "How practical to make 2 cases in one!"
Then I need to add: "I did not pay Faith for the compliment about me being so young to be a grammy."
Made me smile "thrice" my dear. I love your creative and frugal (sounds nicer than cheap lol) ways! I am a fellow frugaler myself. (he, he, he)
All that to finally say: "There is only one Faith here ons SCS and she ROCKS".
Oh and in case I didn't make it clear about your card...It's stunning my dear.
