What a fun & refreshing sketch, Roxie!
And, I'm tickled to refresh "some" memories with the themesong from Dick Clark's "American Bandstand" for this month's Central Theme. I've taken a turn from the holiday stamping to the times of reflection for some, but fun for many! I do remember my Mom watching "American Bandstand" in the afternoons when I'd come home from school ... long live Dick Clark! Thus, I'm taking a little trip down sock hop lane with this one. Yes, I really did use the 'out of the box' technique of stamping the shoes then cutting out the entire panel for the sentiment including the shoes. But then, I just "had" to heat emboss the saddle shoes image on a separate piece of C/S, color, cut out, and lift it up above the first image. The embossing just made these shoes "pop" for me. ;)
Stamps are from Rubbernecker Stamps. While Dick Clark probably will not be bringing in the New Year with the falling crystal ball in NYC, we'll still have a rockin' New Year's Eve at heart!
