Today Julia challenged us to do some heat embossing. I love to heat emboss. Sallie, hobbydujour, was kind enough to RAK me this PSX birdhouse image. I watercolored the birdhouses. After all were dry, I used the versamark pen to color all the black birds, holes in the houses & the border, then clear embossed. I'm not sure if it shows in the photo. I wanted to add something else but did not like any of my ribbon w/ this. I'm sure my mom rolled over in her grave b/c I used the pinking shears on paper!! Well, what else am I gonna use 'em for??? I thought this MS fence punch out that I traded for w/ Queen Lesley, would look good. After looking again at Sallie's sweet card, I'm going to sponge in some blue sky.
Here is Sallie's card: QFTD07 Birdhouses for Carol by hobbydujour at Splitcoaststampers
Thank you Sallie for the image & Lesley for the fence.
As always, thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

I love the picket fence border punch with the birdhouses!! What a cute little "yard" theme. So colorful and wonderfully put together. Yay for you for using your pinking shears (even if it *was* gasp! on paper). Made for a great effect
